Lifetime loves having only one, but his new film, Killer Contractor, seems like a true exercise of the absurd. Unlike the university admissions scandal that aired on the web on Saturday night, Killer Contractor does not seem to be based on a true story, in large part because his plot is too far fetched to attempt to buy it. But if you're looking for a juicy soap on Sunday night, that's the appeal, right?
Directed by Lifetime veteran John Murlowsky, who also secured gems as Deadly Inn and fierce defense, the killer contractor told the story of single mother Kerry (Alicia Chose), who reported that her estranged father had returned to her hometown. He and his daughter Ella came first only to the funeral, but after falling in love with the city of Ella, the two decided to stay. Then Carey hires Mike Dean (Jack Titus), an old classmate-turned-contractor, to fix his old home. However, as the trailer shows, the more things are "fixing" on Mike's childhood crush, the more things start to go wrong.
